Animal Welfare

Shetland Select™ Salmon are chemical and antibiotic free.

Location
Shetland Select™ Salmon is grown on Shetland's most northerly coasts on deep sites that benefit from cold, clear waters and excellent water exchange.

Husbandry
Shetland Select™ Salmon is grown by some of the last remaining independent salmon farmers in Scotland as well as some of the most experienced. They take great pride in producing a truly excellent product.

Growing Conditions
The growing conditions are as close to natural as possible. The fish are stocked at low densities, limited to 15kg per cubic meter of sea water, allowing the fish freedom of movement, also handling of the fish is kept to the absolute minimum necessary.

Feed
Shetland Select™ Salmon are only fed quality assured feed that contains no GM ingredients and is made from sustainable raw materials.

Independent Quality Assurance
Each box of Shetland Select™ Salmon carries Shetland Seafood Quality Control (SSQC) mark ensuring quality assurance and full traceability.
